Woman killed hours after posting on Facebook about ‘making six figures’

A Florida woman was shot and killed in her home on Thursday, just hours after she posted about making multi six figures on Facebook.

According to thePalm Beach Post,Makeva Jenkins, 33, had been homeless in the past and posted the following about her success to encourage others not give up:

Im in awe of how far Ive come. Fast forward to now: We overcame being homeless in 2013/2014 to reaching my six figure mark in 2015 to now making multi six figures. No matter what the road looked like, I followed my heart and stuck with it growing my business. Im saying this to say, anyone can do it. It takes determination and consistency.

Barely two hours after the post, a masked man knocked on the door of her home in Lake Worth, walked in, and was met by the people inside, according to the Post.An altercation followed, and the man, whose intended target is unknown, fatally shot Jenkins just after 2 a.m. He fled in the familys vehicle and ditched it nearby.

Jenkins, a married mother of three, died in the hospital. According to the Post, her family wonders if her Facebook postsan older one shows her bank accountled to her death.

Regretfully, the news reports are true, someone posted on Jenkins Facebook page Thursday morning. The family of Makeva Jenkins asks that their privacy be respected at this most trying time. Jenkins managed the business consulting companyPrime Enterprise Group,which helps entrepreneurs create business and marketing plans.

She was a very loving person, Patricia Clarke, who is an assistant coach of Jenkinss daughters basketball team, told the Post. She loved her kids, and loved her family and loved her husband.
